Massapequa High School Fields

Massapequa High School is the home of the Chiefs. The school offers students a variety of high-quality sports programs to choose from. Massapequa Soccer and Massapequa Lacrosse are standout programs with multiple appearances in championship games over the years. You can see the full list of achievements of the various sports programs on the wall of the school facing the fields and inside the gym where banners list the championships won over the years.

The Massapequa High School football field received the most notable facelift. Before the renovation to the new turf, the field was an uneven piece of grass that was put to shame by rival fields such as Freeport and Oceanside. Massapequa now has one of, if not the nicest football field in the division. Another notable upgrade is the Massapequa tennis courts, as they were moved from the very back of the property to the front and are brand new.

The Massapequa students and community always come out to show support for their Chiefs. At almost any game you will hear the trademark "MASSA-PEQUA" chants coming from students who definitely have not been funneling beers at a tailgate beforehand. 

If you are looking to use the Massapequa High School fields to exercise or play sports with friends, it is important to note that they are rarely available. The public is generally not allowed to use the track while school is in session, especially if there is a gym class doing the semi-annual mile run test. After school is over, there is a good chance that the fields and courts will be used for practice by one of the various Massapequa Sports Programs.

Local Tip: If you attending a game at Massapequa High School, it is a good idea to park on Arlyn Drive West near Kensington Avenue. There is a gate that leads directly to the football field and will be open if a game is going on. There is also parking on the other side of the field along Cartwright Boulevard.

• During the summer, the football field makes a great place to come train either by yourself or with a personal trainer.
